The Photobombed Interview

I took a walk to the Japanese Cherry Blossom Park. Since the sakura bloom lasts about 2 weeks, it’s filled with people doing photo sessions there. One in every five people is holding a camera, one is posing, two are using their camera phone, and one is walking aimlessly. Admittedly, I’ve never taken a creative photo there.

Just as I entered the park, I noticed this Taiwanese reporter interviewing a Lithuanian guy about the park. So I decided to get a shot featuring them and the Chiune Sugihara monument on the right. But as I was preparing to take the shot, an Asian guy walked into the frame. I waited for him to be on the right side and snapped the photo.

After reviewing the photo, I realized that I was milliseconds away from actually capturing the Decisive Moment.
